Per Eric Wilson’s posts on the runway shows for New York Time:
"Only in Ms. Burch’s world would such a girl be wearing a pearl-trimmed cardigan buttoned up to the neck and carrying a snakeskin bag bordered with tortoise shell.
This was a smart and seductive collection from Ms. Burch, with none of the usual sense of clutching one’s pearls. The lightly polished looks included knit cardigans with just a hint of shine, a sequined dress in a pretty blue Prince of Wales check (with a matching cloth coat), and a variety of leather looks that were hand-painted with an abstract plaid pattern. Her evening looks also were full of interesting fabric treatments, with floral appliqués and pansy prints, and a lovely green dress of tulle trimmed with a single velvet band at the waist."
